This week Derrick McLendon joins us in studio almost a month since we first met to talk about all we've been through since then, including the release of his album Interstate Daydreamer. Derrick plays five unrecorded songs live including his wife's current favorite "I'm Sorry Momma", a nod to Central Texas homies around "Austin" and "She" the tribute song to Memaw. Derrick then plays a special version of "No Motorcycles and No Tattoos" written for and performed in front of my mom who provides her own gift in return. We wrap up the show with the funky banger "No Hope Ranch" which Derrick teases as the likely title track of a future album who's details are yet to be determined.
