Episode 1: TY Nation Discipleship Overview
Welcome to the inaugural episode of the TY Nation Discipleship Podcast, a ministry of The Yeshua Nation.
In this foundational episode, Senior Pastor John Oluyole introduces the vision, purpose, and direction of the podcast and explains why intentional discipleship matters in the life of every believer.
The TY Nation Discipleship Podcast is more than another source of biblical information. It is designed as a structured digital discipleship tool that encourages believers to move beyond information toward transformation—growing in spiritual formation, relational discipleship, practical Christian living, and leadership development.
Episode 1 introduces the progressive discipleship pathway that will guide the podcast:
Know Christ → Live Like Christ → Lead Like Christ → Make Disciples
Drawing from Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28:19–20, Pastor John emphasizes that the Church has not simply been called to gather people or communicate biblical information; Christ has commissioned His followers to make disciples.
Throughout this episode, listeners will discover the purpose of the podcast, how future episodes will be structured, what to expect from the first series of teachings, and how the podcast complements—not replaces—the local church, Christian community, pastoral leadership, small groups, and personal mentoring.
Listeners are also challenged to become more than hearers of the Word. Biblical truth must be received, practiced, and ultimately reproduced in the lives of others.
Whether you are a new believer, longtime follower of Christ, young adult, ministry leader, or someone exploring what it means to follow Jesus, the TY Nation Discipleship Podcast invites you on a journey of intentional spiritual growth.
Know Christ. Live Like Christ. Lead Like Christ. Make Disciples.
