For my Jim Nantz Award demo, I selected two pieces of my work in radio. The first is the opening segment of the March 19th Red Towel Radio show, discussing the early stages of the COVID-18 pandemic a week after all major sports had been suspended or cancelled. Trailing at Bowling Green by nine heading into the final frame, Lucy Patterson decided enough was enough. The junior scored all 20 points for East in the frame, eventually giving the Lady Raiders a one-point lead with under 30 seconds remaining. Bowling Green ultimately did pull out the win, but the statement was already made: Lucy Patterson will not be stopped.
