This is a series where hunters tell their favorite stories. This first episode is about my best buck to date. A tall main frame 8 point that loved pears. I shot him in the middle of October 2021 and did not recover him until February 2022.  

The Arkansas Big Buck Classic has been a premier event for outdoorsmen in Arkansas since 1990. I had the privilege talking with Mr. Tommy Murchison about the this great event. Mr. Tommy and his wife Kathy started this event and have grown it from a big buck completion to a three day event for the whole family. Winning 5 state championships with the help of players such as KeVaughn Allen, Anton Beard, Moses Moody and Kel’el Ware.  The man leading the charge is North Little Rock native Coach Johnny Rice.
