Some experiences you have to take alone—some lows you have to feel by yourself—to truly discover the essence of who you are. There are people, places, and things that offer us moments of sensation, pleasure, and elevation, but rarely do we pay attention to who we were prior to these moments of ascension. Oftentimes, we lack self-awareness or haven’t allowed ourselves to be still enough to explore what has transpired in our lives and how it has transformed us. Who are we, what are we doing as we ascend to these levels?  Are we still intact or falling apart and if things are falling apart are they the right things? What’s your escape that’s not completely harmless, but has been distracting you from the truth about you? What I’m trying to say is, in the words of our feature for today, maybe… you’ve been getting too hi.
