If you didn't know, Floydium has been selling out huge venues and inspiring standing ovations for years. Pink Floyd played by top-tier musicians? That's a show I want to kick my summer off with!
Catch Floydium playing the timeless songs of Pink Floyd this summer in Toronto & Port Perry!
Floydium is slated to play at the historic Town Hall Theatre 1873 in Port Perry on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, and at Toronto's famous Q107 Festival on Saturday, June 29th, 2024!
This new show announcement comes after a string of recent performances in some of Canada's highest-level venues, including Port Dover's Lighthouse Festival Theatre, Barrie's Georgian Theatre, and the Regent Theatre in Picton.
Floydium is an 8-piece band based in Toronto that celebrates the music of Pink Floyd, attempting to stay true to the unique, original songs while integrating the creativity and personal touch of each of its band members.
"Pink Floyd were pioneers in progressive, psychedelic, and experimental rock," said the band, who went on to add that Pink Floyd was "one of the best-selling musical artists of all time."
Floydium's members come from a range of musical backgrounds, including classic rock, alt-country, folk, jazz, and classical, but are united in their appreciation for the innovative, genre-bending sounds of Pink Floyd.
The Q107 Festival in Toronto hosts many of the biggest and most famous musical acts that tour through the city, including Alanis Morissette, Elvis Costello, Santana, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Green Day, and Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Floydium's upcoming performance adds yet another beloved act to this high-level venue's summer music series. What's more, ADMISSION IS FREE, so you can go out and see the concert of a lifetime that Saturday night, even if you're on a budget!
Port Perry's Town Hall 1873 was renovated and re-opened in 2004 as a performing arts center, complete with a large stage and professional sound system within its fully preserved, 150-year-old historic body.
Doors open at 8 pm for Floydium's performance at Town Hall 1873 on June 15th and, if you're going with six or more people, you can enjoy a special group rate when buying your tickets!
