Hello everyone, we are finally back with another episode! Today, we are here with Xilin Choi, an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley double majoring in Cognitive Science and French. We will be diving deeper into the importance of raising awareness around mental health and illnesses as well as what her experiences are like as a student during the pandemic. Thanks for tuning in! 

On this episode, we have a special guest speaker Jose Arevalo who is a phD candidate at UC Berkeley under Dr. George Brooks' Exercise Physiology laboratory. We will be discussing more about Jose's background and his journey to UC Berkeley. Additionally, Jose will give an overview of his research work involving mitochondrial dysfunction in skeletal muscle cells. Enjoy!  

We have Andrew Sharo as our guest speaker on this episode; he is a sixth year phD student in Biophysics at UC Berkeley. Today, we will be discussing about computational biology and rare disease research as well as his involvement in activism against animal cruelty. Also on this episode, Andrew talks about his experiences as a Graduate Student Instructor for Biochemistry and also provides some advice for budding professionals. 

Today we will be talking to Amanda Summer Hill, a student at UC Berkeley who is greatly involved in the occupation of People’s Park and will be an ASUC Senator in the 2021-2022 academic year. We will be discussing the importance of People's Park, historically and in the present as well as what their experiences at UC Berkeley have been like as a non-binary, Afro-Latine, neurodivergent student.
