To me it means to allow yourself to expand, instead of thinking of what to say or remembering an important point you have made before. Talking about a point you have made is taking away from your own expansion. Maybe the point you made about a debate needed to be said the way you said it in the past, yet at this present moment the point is different, different characters, new experiences and your knowledge has expanded.
