Join host Kerrilynn Shellhorn in welcoming Missy Vermeersch to Spirit Switchboard. More and more we are coming to understand that our individual wellness is a direct reflection of our personal vibration. Missy will be talking about her journey with sound therapy and alternative healing modalities. She will be offering her top tips for beginning your personal wellness journey and will be doing a short sound bath demonstration for us. Guest Bio: Missy Vermeersch: I have been immersed in my physical, energetic, and spiritual healing journey for over 11 years now. My path has led me through many life changes and into energy therapies and healing. It began as a journey for me, to find healing modalities to help me through some challenging life-changing events. Identifying as an empath was a turning point for me and really helped me to embrace who I am and now I see how that naturally led me to energetic healing modalities. Through Reiki, Sound Therapy, and Celtic Shamanism studies I have learned so much about myself and now find joy in offering these energy therapies to as many people as I can, with the intention to show others that life can begin anew at any age or position. They'll be discussing their life journey and work, what sound healing is and how it can help and heal in everyday life.. Since everything in life is vibration, sound therefore has the power to bring about changes on many levels, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Rita and Phil are committed to helping everyone through the absolute power and wonder that is Sound, Frequency and Vibration, and through their work help others to relax, heal and ultimately to live their own dreams. They'll also be giving a live demonstration! So tune in, relax and journey into the world of Sound! Guest Bio: Rita and Phil Crosbie are professional sound healers currently living on the South shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. Between them they have over 60 years experience offering a range of complementary and alternative healing modalities. After meeting at Waterloo Spiritualist Church, Liverpool UK, in 2000, where Rita was a platform medium and Phil was honing his healing and intuitive skills. In 2002 they began to use sound in their healing and meditation work and have specialised in sound healing since 2007, using an array of instruments but their overriding love is for the gong and their Paiste Planet gongs in particular. Their plan to ‘Gong the planet‘ is taking shape. They work intuitively and offer 2:1 sessions, group work for public and private sector clients - including the Canadian military working with sufferers of PTSD and their families, as well as the health service and education sectors. When in the UK Rita and Phil used to combine this work with their full-time careers in the public sector: a combined 46 years culminating in senior and middle management roles. There were no Trust Funds nor years sitting cross legged up a mountain in Bali for them - as joyful as that sounds - but rather stark and harsh days in Merseyside Police and senior management in the Civil Service. They feel that they bring real world experience to their specialism in sound healing, providing a keen insight into the needs of their clients in attempting to deal with the demands of modern day life. Living life on the ocean, with their 3 rescue cats and surrounded by nature they are committed to helping everyone through the absolute power and wonder that is Sound, Frequency and Vibration. Walking away from the ‘big’ jobs and pensions to live the dream 3,000 miles from home to bang gongs for a living, they continue to practice what they preach, and through their work help others to relax, heal and ultimately to live their own dreams. They have been featured in a Canadian Health magazine, on radio and TV and are currently part of a Canadian study examining the work and practices of Sound Healers specialising in gongs. www.soundbeings.com www.soundbeings.one
