  • EP 5: The Language of the Nervous System w/ Jenna Hamm

In this episode, I'm connecting with Jenna Hamm - a clinical social worker and yoga teacher from Manitoba, Canada. She is trained in Polyvagal Theory, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Internal Family Systems. Jenna also holds a certification in nutrition and integrative medicine for mental health. Her private practice is centered around empowerment through education and healing deep-rooted trauma of all kinds. What I love most about her is that she's not interested in providing symptom management but rather, complete healing and the reversal of internal suffering. Jenna has a thorough understanding of human biology, the autonomic nervous system, and how trauma is stored in the brain and body.

We cover SO much in this episode - getting into the ups and downs of her own healing journey, how her personal experience has impacted her practice, what polyvagal theory is, and the important role our nervous system has to play in our overall healing.
