No opinion is worth more than mine in my life from here on out. I have given my worth over to people who, by definition of our relationship, think they could subtly poke holes in my self-dignity. Well, I let them, and that's okay, something had to happen to get to where I learnt this.

All opinion is water. All I have wrestled with my whole life was what she says, he says. I smell the jealousy, I smell the spite, it's within me, so I know this is true. I am doing away with all of that. I am doing away with all of me that clings to the validation, the little boy that loves to be every good thing in the dictionary that makes everyone else smile, but leaves his heart in a wrench. The little boy who lives in his overly self-conscious castle is repentant for all the wrong he perceives he has done all his life. The boy who dims his light so that others can feel comfortable.

I can walk on water. All opinion is water.
