Talking about something I believe many other business owners face on their journey. It's that feeling where after all of the effort you put into your business and all that you have been through, the financial bind is still there. For those of you who relate to this situation, the initial feeling was like going backwards for me. Now I am putting my business down as a 'side hustle' when that was never a future I saw coming and it was definitely not something I am happy about doing. But I am now faced with entering back into the work force due to my financial situation needing me to generate income in order to survive. Despite the situation, I am actually feeling grateful and proud still. Here is why:

I was asked an interesting question in regarding my journey as a business owner. I do sound a bit bothered by the question because two things were happening - one I am at a pivoting point in my business, where I sort of know the direction I want to go in but it is requiring a lot of growth but it was hitting me all at once and I was still in the midst of sorting it all out. Two - I was being hard on myself. I am grateful and proud for how far I have been able to come from when I first started, my habitual thoughts was telling me it wasn't enough. Towards the end of the podcast I felt a bit better, because hey nobody said the journey of a business owner was easy and everyone has a different experience. Reminder to not give up on your dreams.

When it comes to balancing our business and life, the scale easily tips to the business side of things. I decided to take a real vacation after not having one in like - forever! In May, I went to Universal Studios and Disney World in Florida! I wanted to open up about the many realizations I have had during that 2 week vacation. Despite the stress upon my return, being sick afterwards and have some life things to deal with I chose to hold onto something higher. I talk about how taking a vacation also helped put many things into perspective from my personal life and even in my business.
