On the recent successes of Detective Pikachu and Sonic, Monster Hunter had the potential to be the third great video game movie in recent years. 2021 started off strong with Lethal Weapon 5 news and 2 separate Batman franchises. Wonder Woman is a fantastic super hero period piece that had an opportunity to revisit before the sequel's release. A new DnD movie is being made. Boba Fett tv series, Zach Snyder's Justice League gets a release date. Disney continues to make some business changes.

No review this week, but a longer episode to breakdown all of the movie news from the previous week. Disney unleashed a slew of announcements that range from a Secret Invasion Marvel show to the next Disney animated project, from a Pixar Buzz Lightyear movie to a Star Wars Ahsoka series.

Miggs Mayfield returns to help the Mandalorian out, but also to make him question everything. This episode is setting up a very climactic conclusion to the season while letting us explore the Mandalorian side characters' backstories. Plus we got my favorite sound in Star Wars in this episode.

We finally got around to last years Best Picture award winner. Warner Bros decides to move entire 2021 slate to same day HBOmax theatrical release and directors and exhibitors are furious. Hawkeye adds to its cast and Spider-Man 3 adds Doc-Ock. Oscar Isaac is Solid Snake. Gal Gadot gets a spy franchise. Kingsman movies for the next decade. Ridley Scott tries a true crime drama with a stacked cast. 

The Mandalorian meets John Wick and his name is Boba Fett. Grogu reached out with the force, but unfortunately we won't get an answer to that until later.

Never Give Up. Never Surrender! A great sci-fi movie making fun of every sci-fi trope. We had an in depth discussion about the future of television and streaming and whether we should be willing to open our pocketbooks as well as are we getting what we pay for. Wonder Woman 1984's release is even more confusing than we thought. Hawkeye's Anchor Point starts filming.

Ahsoka has finally arrived to the Mandalorian, but is it just for one episode. Where does the Mandalorian go from here. Will the Child be trained as a Jedi or will his abilities fade.
