X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the final X-Men story from Fox. The Dark Phoenix story line is an iconic X-Men story that focuses around Jean Grey. This story made it to the big screen once before with X-Men: The Last Stand, unfortunately that telling was not very faithful to the source material. Although slightly more faithful to the story, Dark Phoenix still was not a superb X-Men movie.

What We Do in the Shadows has recently received a TV series sequel and Along With the Gods received a sequel came out last year. What We do in the Shadows is Taika Watiti's New Zealand Vampire Mockumentary and yes it is as good as it sounds. Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds is South Korea's Yong-hwa Kim's action packed fantastical look at the Buddhist afterlife. Both movies do a very good job at accomplishing the task they set out to do. Take a look for yourself.

The Watchmen TV Series Trailer just dropped, so I watched the Watchmen (2009) Director's Cut again. The Watchmen is an alternative DC universe where most of the superheroes are just normal people. This film gives unique insight into a what-if for humanity. What if the United States won Vietnam? What if Superheroes were illegal? I definitely missed a joke about DC's dark universe compared to this dark outlook on humanity.
