  • What was Inherited Vs What was kept

This episode is personal. I talk about my family and how things have shifted, how relationships have been strained, and how losing my grandmother changed the foundation of what once held us together. I look at the patterns, the pain, and the silence, and I had to ask myself why I am still carrying this. Because if I don’t put it down, it doesn’t stop with me, it gets passed down, and I refuse that. I’m talking about letting go of guilt that never belonged to me, stopping the cycle of holding on to things that are already gone, and making a decision to break patterns, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it hurts. This isn’t about blaming my parents; this is about choosing differently. Because I can’t walk in purpose while I’m bound by baggage. So, in this episode, I’m choosing to release, to grieve what was, and to honor what I’ve been through. But most importantly, I’m choosing to stop normalizing what’s breaking me, and to say, out loud and without apology: this ends with me.

  • Empty Cup Series---Normalizing the Empty Cup

In this episode, we explore what it means to normalize the empty cup and make openness, humility, and mental spaciousness a natural way of moving through the world. Instead of treating presence as something reserved for quiet moments or meditation, we look at how it can become a steady baseline in everyday life. Why do we cling so tightly to opinions, expectations, and the need to be certain, and what happens when we loosen that grip? Through reflection and practical insight, this episode unpacks how a “full cup” shows up as overthinking, reactivity, and the constant pressure to have answers, while an “empty cup” is not about passivity or detachment but about creating room for curiosity, for listening, and for reality to unfold without distortion. We explore the subtle ways we fill our cup without noticing, why not knowing can be a strength rather than a weakness, how to respond instead of react in conversations and decisions, and simple ways to return to openness throughout the day. Normalizing the empty cup is not about erasing who you are but about loosening what you hold onto so you can meet life with greater clarity, ease, and flexibility, because sometimes the most powerful shift is not learning more but carrying less.

  • Empty Cup Series Episode 1

In this opening episode of Unapologetic Conversations 2026, we reflect on where we left off in 2025 with Beauty in the Ashes and step honestly into a new year with intention.

This episode explores what happens when being needed becomes your identity and the quiet burnout that follows. We talk about the signs of an empty cup, the discomfort of rest when usefulness has defined you, and why self care is not a luxury but a form of survival.

Through reflection and spoken word, this conversation invites you to examine where you have been pouring from obligation instead of overflow, how burnout reveals what is unsustainable, and what it means to choose yourself without guilt.

This episode sets the foundation for the 2026 series
Empty Cup Choosing Me Refilled Life, and reminds us that healing is not just about surviving the fire it is about rebuilding in a way that does not burn us out again.

  • Beauty in the Ashes

Beauty in the ashes means that something meaningful can rise from what once felt broken, painful, or disappointing. Even in moments when life seems shattered or hopeless, growth, healing, and new beginnings are still possible.

The ashes do not mark the end of the story. They become the foundation from which strength is rebuilt, wisdom is formed, and renewal begins. What tried to destroy you often becomes the very place where purpose takes root and beauty quietly emerges.

  • Miseducation of Single Fathers

On this episode of Unapologetic Conversations, we tackle a topic often overlooked: the miseducation of single fathers. This episode highlights how society has long painted fathers as secondary, incompetent, or absent, leaving little room to recognize the sacrifices and love of single dads who show up every day for their children. Through personal stories of my brothers and a man close to her heart, I am shedding light on the challenges fathers face in custody battles, societal judgment, and lack of support, not only in the U.S. but globally. I am calling for a shift in narrative. I am asking my listeners to provide single fathers with the same compassion, resources, and recognition often extended to mothers reminding them that their presence matters and they are heroes in their own right.
