We get updates from Relly and Rudy on their lives and work, then get into federal agents on the ground in DC. We discuss the occupation in comparison with the current reality on the ground with the NYPD in NYC. We discuss online activists vs content creators vs activists on the ground. What is the line between doing the work and just trying to profit off of a reputation? We discuss the situation in NYC with folks being called out on multiple fronts for taking advantage of the movement and of people. We discuss white activists defending this behavior from other white activists, all while profiting off of Black and brown people. We return to the topic of politicians and whether we can hold them accountable, and the ways they take advantage of the community.

We’re back with an interview with Carla Marie Davis, New York City political content creator and organizer. Carla describes her journey from fashion into local politics, creating a practice of self-care amidst the capitalist system taking a toll on physical and mental health, and the role of social media in engaging the community.

She tells us why she is drawn to get involved in local politics and why we can’t make politicians into celebrities and the importance and feasibility of holding them accountable. Dimez recounts their firsthand experience of a certain politician's appearance at pride marches this past month. We talk about staying up to date with politics, Zohran Mamdani’s campaign in the democratic primary, the ICE crisis, and the intersections of anti-Blackness and immigration. We also talk about art, the role of culture in collective action, and the exploitation of art by capitalism - struggling to survive without compromising on values, and so much more.

First off, RELLYS BIG CASE HAS BEEN DISMISSED! Hear the inside scoop as Relly tells us what’s next now that he has this case off of his back. Rudy brings up his current read, Days of Rage, which he picked up after reading about the Mississippi Freedom Movement - “We Will Shoot Back” (watch ep 70!). Rudy relates it to an American man caught in Israel trying to firebomb the Israeli Embassy - who posted it online. We look back on the tragic murder of George Floyd, the subsequent uprising, and the fall off of attention and activism relating to the police oppression and genocide of Black people in Amerikkka and globally. Relly had an important and impactful protest for George Floyd and Palestine on Sunday. We discuss the relation of the Gaza genocide to the genocide of indigenous peoples on this land, and the ongoing genocide against Black and Indigenous people in this country. Things are getting so bad over here, other countries are trying to cut themselves off from the US, even on the internet! We end with Rudy emphasizing the brilliance of autonomous mutual aid organizing in NYC

We start off hearing from Rudy about the book “We Will Shoot Back, Armed Resistance in the Mississippi Freedom Movement” by Akinyele Umoja, about the armed Black resistance fighting against oppression in the Mississippi Basin. Rudy draws parallels between fights past and present, how Black Lives Matter, Black Power, and the civil rights movements relate to the Mississippi Freedom Movement, the mindsets. “Hands up Don’t Shoot” and “We Will Shoot Back.” This brings us into a discussion about literature, anarchy, self-reliance, science fiction, and being targeted by the cops. Cue Relly, who runs down some of his history being targeted by the NYPD and put on the news hot seat in NYC. From City Hall, to Rejecting Eric Adams, to hate speech lawsuits, calling him a terrorist on the news, and the latest cases charging him with attempted burglary and arson. We talk about the case of Karmelo Anthony, a young Black teen facing a serious case over self-defense. We talk about the similarities and differences between Karmelo and Daniel Penny, folks are raising money for Karmelo amidst the rising fury of this incident where race has become a focal point. Texas republicans continue to be clueless and evil, attempting to restrict and destruct things which they don’t even understand - this time denying the biological reality of Intersex people and having to be interrupted and told he’s spouting nonsense in real time by his aide. Corruption is back and better than ever! From Donald Trump in the White House and Eric Adams back from his “Covid” break, the news is full of executive orders, defunding, and mayhem. We discuss Eric Adams campaign, as well as a few of the other candidates that have caught our eye. Relly ties in his actions and marching against Eric Adams - we are spreading the word: WE REJECT ERIC ADAMS! Dimez brings up the harmful effects of Trumps policy edicts on Trans people and Trans rights, we discuss how this conservative ideology across the board is affecting everyday life. More updates across the intersection of social media and politics with Trump back in office as well. Rudy tells us about DeepSeek - a new AI tool taking the tech world by storm. The trial of the Cooler Killer, killer cop Eric Duran, has started in the Bronx. Relly gives us the update and connects this case to that of the murder of Robert Brooks. Justice for Mikey and Robert! We discuss of course the violent murders of Robert Brooks and Messiah Nantwi in upstate NY prisons right across the street from each other. We touch on the organizing which ended Solitary Confinement in CA prisons and present day attempts by the system to expand the practice around the country and to turn former prisons into ICE facilities. We talk through the weaponization of politics, criminalization of our own communities, organizing inside and outside of incarceration, and the need to come together to end mass incarceration globally.
