At the time of this recording, Elon Musk had not yet declared war on free speech - suspending journalists and anyone speaking against Elon, banning "free promotion of certain social media platforms" on the app and rubbing shoulders in Qatar with Jared Kushner.

The midterms are over and in this episode, we dive into a few key trends of 2022. Did more run this year? How did the youth turnout impact the election? Abortion was a key factor in your vote? The answers to all of these may or may not surprise you. We review data from the elections and discuss how the results impacted us.

We knew that it was vital to include an expert on the topic and who better than Ali Goldsworthy. She has been a political adviser and campaigner for more than twenty years. She led the team that built the fastest-growing campaigning organisation in the UK. In 2017 she was a Sloan Fellow at Stanford, co-creating its first depolarisation course and the co-author of Poles Apart - why people turn against each other and how to bring them together.
