In this episode I'm talking with Seattle based boudoir photographer, Kendra Kerschner. Through her photography she helps her clients find love and appreciation for their body. I've personally experienced the power of working with Kendra and I can confidently say that the space she holds for her clients empowered me to show up (baring it all) confidently and full of self-love for myself. What I love about Kendra is that photo re-touching is not her prerogative. Instead she has created a movement focused on honoring the uniqueness and beauty of every body as the stereotypes of "beauty" float away and allow you to experience the beauty of being free in your own skin.

Despite the uncertainty and unknowns, we, as a global community, are experiencing there is always hope for a brighter future. Ultimately, it’s where we choose to go from here, as we sit in the thick of the mess, that will help determine our paths moving forward. You are not alone. As an introvert at heart  being holed up in our house and finding in-home activities to distract myself hasn’t been much of an issue. I know that’s not the case for everyone and I’m here to serve you. We all have the power to make the most of the situation we’re in and survive and thrive in this “new normal” by incorporating a few tools. Today I'm talking with my good friend and comedic rising star, Bri Badili. At my previous jobs, when something went wrong or an unexpected situation arose, my coworkers looked to my calm, cool, collected demeanor to temper the situation. I attribute this Zen to the unnatural amount of uncertainty I experienced as a young professional in the midst of the 2008 recession. In this episode I’ll dive into my journey experiencing chronic unemployment and how I’ve been able to cope with those unexpected situations and turn my life around by shifting my perspective.

Ashleigh has created a series of customized coffee mugs that help uplift and encourage women to silence their negative self-talk one sip at a time. These products act as a powerful daily reminder for us to slow down, take a moment to sip on a cup (or two) of coffee, and pour into ourselves with positive affirmations to practice more daily self-love. I have a confession for you. For years I was all about sharing the importance of following and embracing our passions. While I still believe it’s important for us to take time outside of our lives to slow down and reflect on what makes us happy in life, simply being told to just "follow your passions” doesn’t help most of us know where to start let alone create realistic, tangible results. I decided to take a deep dive into the meaning of what it is to discover and follow your passions, and what I learned along the way is that it’s ok to shift, change and improve how we talk about a subject. In this episode I share what I learned from my own self-reflection and how I humbled myself to admit that I am still a work in progress, and that's ok!
