I feel like I always rag on him, and for awhile I was. I didn’t give him the honor he deserved. I didn’t talk enough about the amazing things, how great of a dad he was a lot of the time, how caring and charismatic he was. How much he loved people. How he served and wanted to make sure others were happy.

Throughout life - heartbreak comes and it comes in many different forms.

Breakups

Friendships dissolving

Divorce

Loss of a pet

Loss of a loved one

Miscarriage

I have been through many heartbreaks in many different forms. Most of them without knowing Jesus intimately like I do now. But there is a new turn on life and how I handle heartbreak. Join me as we go into the old ways of how the enemy used my heartbreak to keep me down, but now standing on God’s Word and with Him as my anchor, nothing can stand in the way of His blessings.

I have spent years either playing victim but also  processing the things that have happened in my life.  But one thing that many of fail to also focus on, is when the tables are turned and we are the ones doing the hurting. The ones who have spoken those negative words over someones life, or when we reacted or delivered a message that cut someone so deep, they are in the midst of their own healing from the trauma we played a part in.

Come with me as we take ownership of what we did when hurt, because I know, I am not alone. But I do know that I had to no longer run, and face that I too, have made mistakes and take responsibility for them.

Who else loves them some good wine? Who also knows that in order to get that good wine, the grape has to go through a crushing?  As I am coming out of the crushing season, we dive into what that has been like, how it feels and the things I do in order to keep pressing in and walking through it.  You may be in that season yourself and feeling like you have no where to turn or that no one else understands what you are walking through. Taking trips down memory lane isn’t always the easiest when the memories aren’t the fondest memories you have. But that doesn’t stop Nik today on Unashamed Faith.
