Lindsay Greene is a photographer, writer, blogger, and stuff-your-face enthusiast that wants to give you the real deal, like-it-or-not truth about the food she eats.
Lindsay's goal is to provide hungry fans with trustworthy reviews, awesome recommendations, and stellar recipes, sure to inspire and satisfy the inner foodie in you. Lindsay was also a participant on the Food Network show Guy's Big Project. She writes for Atlanta Eats TV and manages her popular blog, The Hunger Diaries.
Lindsay says: "My main life obsession is with food. I grew up with a mother that only cooked delicious meals, and had the appetite of two teenage boys. I started a career in Real Estate, but ditched it because it wasn't my passion. I then decided to pursue/create my own job through food blogging. Thus far, I have done well at honing my food photography skills, I've done a bunch of writing and reviewing of restaurant dishes, and have filmed myself talking about/doing tons of foodie things."
"My ultimate goal in life is to be a weirder, crazier Rachael Ray. I want to be a trusted figure in the food world and a food personality. I want to go around the world trying food and telling everyone what I think of it. I really can't think of a better way to spend my life.

Anthony Ponce is a veteran Chicago journalist. In July 2016, he received national attention when a video went viral, announcing he quit his job as an anchor/reporter at NBC to become a full-time Lyft driver, and launch the Backseat Rider podcast. In his new role, Anthony brings audiences the wide-ranging, hilarious, touching, sometimes bizarre, and always real conversations he has with his passengers. "Listening is a lost art form," he told CNN. "What I think is missing right now in our national dialogue is aggressive listening."
This week is a first for the Unbeaten Path, as I conducted the interview from Anthony's playing field. Meaning, I drove around Anthony's car for an hour and interviewed him. This time Anthony got to be the backseat rider. I was a little nervous at first because I do not have a car in the city and driving is not a regular activity for me. Luckily, I did not crash his car, and it was an absolute blast.
We have a fun and wide-ranging conversation discussing topics such as:

Brian McClintic is a Master Sommelier and documentary film star of the feature-length SOMM and the follow up SOMM: Into the Bottle. After 15 years in hospitality, spanning wine destinations such as the Little Nell in Aspen, Brian co-founded Les Marchands Wine Bar & Merchant in Santa Barbara, where he was named "The Wine Guy to Hire" by Departures magazine and among the "40 Under 40 Tastemakers" by Wine Enthusiast.
Bitten by the travel bug in recent years, McClintic launched Viticole in 2016--an online wine club and travel blog, focusing on organically-farmed domestic and import selections. By the 1st of every month, Brian travels to vineyards all over the world and offers out special bottlings directly from the winery door in real time.
This was one of the most fun conversations I've had on the podcast. Brian is down to earth, with a great sense of humor, and a fascinating story. Brian comes across as "regular guy" who used hard work and personal drive to become one of the very few people in the world who can call themselves a Master Sommeliers. Brian has also gone down the entrepreneurship route since becoming an MS. Listen in and learn about his unique journey and all the fun stories that go along with it!

Lonnie Bedwell is a former Navy Petty Officer, Lonnie was critically injured during 1997 in a hunting accident that instantly took his sight. Nevertheless, he raised three daughters as a single father, teaching them all to hunt and fish — and, against all odds, to drive. Once the girls graduated from high school, Lonnie continued to challenge himself, ultimately becoming a renowned extreme sports athlete. When the threshold for running the Grand Canyon was placed at 1,000 kayak rolls, he took his donated kayak to the pond on his farm and rolled it 1,500 times. The rest is history.
Lonnie has kayaked some of the most challenging whitewater in the world and is best known for having completed the first blind descent of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. He climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, summited several of North America's highest mountains, rock climbs, and is an avid downhill skier when he has time away from roofing work in his hometown of Duggar, IN.
Lonnie's mission is to motivate and inspire others to embrace life with confidence and courage. He accomplishes this by the way he lives his life and sharing his story with others. He's an advocate for many including the blind and our military veterans, and is living proof that we can define ourselves on our own terms.

I was fortunate enough to interview Rick and Randy Evans, founders of Evans Brothers Coffee, during my trip to Sandpoint, Idaho. I decided to bring my podcast equipment with the feeling I would find someone interesting to interview. I ended up finding two brothers who perfectly fit what the Unbeaten Path is all about.
Rick and Randy started the business in the summer of 2009. They developed their vision over long rides on Chair 6, skiing at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. They wanted to bring a new experience around coffee to the region, to create deep connections throughout the supply chain, and to bring value to the communities where they work. Learn how the brothers have built a successful wholesale operation along with cafes in Sandpoint and a recent expansion into Coeur d'Alene, and winning national awards along the way. Possibly the most compelling part of their story is how they have been able to maintain the lifestyle they originally moved to Sandpoint for, and you will learn about things like their "powder clause" that helps them do just that.
