Jennings' protagonists are sensitive, likable, and always trying to do the right thing. Some of the themes might scare younger readers, but older children will love the strange situations, and performer Stig Wemyss does a fantastic job of creating unique voices for each character, from the ghoulish to the whimsical.

The major issue is that the audiobook has 4 fairly randomly placed chapter markers, probably from the original audiotape release. This makes trying to watch a specific short story REALLY annoying!
