Growing up in a religious home with abuse, today's guest is no stranger to judgement and shame with money. She tells the story of her abusive grandfather finding religion and becoming a pastor, but still continued is strings of abuse and anger. This only confused Drenda even more about love, religion and what was next for her in the world.
Drenda went on to write and publish her first book: Badass Babes Of The Bible. That retells ancient stories with a modern twist. This book was intended to be a supportive message of encouragement for women in the adult entertainment industry, but can be applied for all women.
Key Points:
-Discuss perspectives on Mary Magdalene, highlighting her impact and the negative portrayal by the church, providing additional insights into Mary Magdalene's life and healing work.
-Drenda shares their personal journey of leaving and returning to Christianity, feeling hurt by the church's treatment of LGBTQ+ individuals. She now engages in street ministry to show love and acceptance to those marginalized by the church, recognizing the importance of separating God's love from the actions of religious institutions.
-Drenda shares her experience with hypnosis, mentioning how it helped them overcome judgment and learn about the power of grace, reminding the audience how important self-love and acceptance is. This starts with loving and accepting yourself, wrinkles and all.
-We share our common experience of feeling stuck in a profession or life path due to external expectations, leading to feelings of misery and discontent. And discuss our frustration with being expected to prioritize others' needs over their own, and the importance of self-care and pursuing one's passions.
**This week, Drenda's 2nd book releases: Dare to Remember: Uncover Who You Were Before All the BS. This book aims to help people uncover their true selves by changing their beliefs and stories, and remembering who they were before societal influences shaped them. This book shares personal stories and client anecdotes to illustrate subconscious mind's role in limiting beliefs and how to overcome them.

Repeat Guest, Sara Drury, is helping us rethinking marketing, messaging and our money.
Sara was locked out of her Facebook Ads account in 2019. She needed to find a new way of marketing to her people without using paid Ads. Down the rabbit hole Sara went. She has mastered the art of using Social Media to call in her ideal client and make money doing it. Today she helps her client do the same.
Adding a bit of Alchemy to marketing, messaging and money, Sara teaches us how to us magik rituals to make money, call in our idea clients and how to show up marketing our services to those waiting to pay us for our services.
-I think sometimes the way people sabotage themselves by making their goals so big and unattainable. But if you keep making small steps, over the course of a year, you've made a pretty big leap. Then your job becomes knowing what the end goal is. Then creating those smaller steps, stairstep goals, all along that path. Let the universe handle the rest.
-The goal to me is what I'm outsourcing to the universe. And mine is the plan. Those are the steps that I need to take to fulfill my end of the deal. That might look like, I need to launch this program, or I need to market, or promote myself or I need to check in with their money, I need to pay attention to my money.
-For me, I will say that everything that I intend happens somehow. It takes some time. It might not happen the way I thought it was gonna happen. And I may have to even check back and ask myself, "do I still really want this or do I want it this way?" Everything that I intend happened. I did a bath ritual (check for the free download).
-I love how science is really kind of debunking these ideas that it's like woo-woo. And it's really scientifically coming out that these neurons are wiring together, and these things are happening in our body, which is then connecting to these different parts of the universe or each other.
-I think about how we, as women, are able to be here in this time and for the first time in many years we are able to have a say and be honored. Whereas, in the past we haven't been this way.

Today I have been inspired to talk to you about waste.
Wasted money, wasted time, wasted energy, wasted effort
We have been trained very well in life, in society and in our brain to think that x + y should always equal z when it comes to our anything we do in our life, including spending money.
We have to get to the place where we don't expect life to fit into a box. Life is not a formula of 1+1=2. The universe and life that we are living in does not equal a nice beautiful bow and a nice beautiful formula every time we take an action.
When that doesn't happen, the tendency is to fall into blame, shame and guilt. Blame money for not being better for us. Blame our career for not doing more for us. Shame ourselves for investing in the "wrong" things.
You're a human, and you're having a human experience. No one can guarantee you any result, because you are having a human experience.
When you do anything in life, make any type of action, you put any type of effort out there, especially when it comes to you're unpacking of your healing, your visibility, who you are, who you're becoming, it has not been a waste!
None of it has been a waste. While I might not have had a certain financial outcome that I intended to have when I made any investment, each time I have still gained a lot. I've grown. I've become a different person. I've evolved into this new versions each time.
Listen to this episode to help you understand how you can uncover this idea of "waste" deeper with your finances and life choices. I encourage you to ask some deeper questions that can lead to healing and unpacking your money wounds.
I hope this episode helps you get some clarity and deeper understanding.

You're not broken! You are unpacking the stories of your parents and generations before you!
Today's guest is the powerhouse, Allyson Roberts, an author, speaker, coach, and creator of Boss of Your Brain™️. She came here today for one simple message - it's time to rise above your parents stories and limitations. It's time to unpack the stories and belief that you were raised with and add new beliefs that you are powerful, capable, and allowed to have more than they had (more money, more success, more of everything YOU WANT!)
Allyson explains that doing "the work" is like flossing your teeth everyday. You only floss the teeth you want to keep. In this case, you only "work on" the beliefs you want to unpack and replace with new powerful ones. She encourages us to do the mind and body work every day. Not just making it a check list item, but to embody the feelings of safety in our body and allow the mind to accept the expanding new beliefs. The new belief that it is safe to have more money and more success!
October will be the last time Allyson and her team will be hosting Behind The Power, 3-Day Event. This years event is for entrepreneurs that want more for their life and business. This season of the podcast is dedicated to talking to you all about money. How to make more money. How to call in more money. How energy is related to money. How your thoughts and beliefs effect the flow of money. And much more.
I address 2 types of complaining that you experience in your own life or while interacting with others. I give you a new perspective to investigate how complaining is effecting your energy and the flow of money in your life.
I challenge you to think about why you should look further when experiencing complaining for yourself or other. I discuss where it can be helpful to lean into your complaining so that you can uncover areas that might be blocking the flow of money - just disguised as complaining.
It's not enough to just stop complaining. You must come from a place of observing yourself and other to see if there is a deeper place you can lean into for healing.
I hope you found this episode helpful.

The Divine Feminine lives within you, within me, within us all. Unfortunately, for the past few thousand years, SHE has been repressed, cast into the shadows, and left without a safe place to fully express herself and her gifts.
I followed a very prescriptive path - graduated from college, worked my way up the corporate ladder at a cushy, well-paying job.I had done almost everything society has told women should do tells women we should do but instead of feeling accomplished and happy, I just felt a sense of pervasive restlessness. That’s when I joined one of the most amazing retreats I’ve ever experienced. It was really life-changing for me that I am grateful to have done this three-part podcast episode with Erin Call.
In this final episode, Erin takes you on a journey of how to intentionally reclaiming our Divine Femineas we maneuver through uncertain times. This episode will support you in learning how to anchor into a feminine leadership model; one that supports the balancing of masculine and feminine balance and allows individuals to create cohesion with BEING and DOING.
Erin is the the creator of the Soul Naked movement and the Embodied Woman Retreats who is passionate in guiding women leaders back into their bodies where they inhabit the divine wisdom to heal and the potential to Embody their highest expression.

Erin Call 02:04 - My biggest intention is always to create …in a safe, brave space …that is (to) create a safe space where women feel like they can come together, open up and really create a deeper relationship and level of self intimacy with themselves.
Heather Doran 04:27 - My intention was to really hold a mirror to your power because of the way the subconscious works, that we actually don't see what's happening until it's really mirrored up against us
Erin Call 06:57 - One of the things I love so much through this work of divine feminine reclamation is that you start to turn back ON. You're not just doing it to elicit yourself as a better leader, but you're also doing it to allow yourself to be turned back on to all of life. And when you do that you are truly a light beam, a Wayshower for other women.
Erin Call 10:04 - When we're talking about reclaiming the divine feminine, one of the things that is so powerful is our sovereignty over our body, over our sexual energy, over our lifeforce energy, our creative energy, and all of all of that. And we've been stripped of that.
#Gold covered in this episode:
In today's fast-paced, always-on world, it can be tough to find the time to just BE. When we're constantly on the go, it can be tough to take a step back and just relax. We're always worried about the next thing on our to-do list, and we never really take the time to just enjoy the moment. But being in the present is so important – it's the only time we really have.
Can you train yourself to be present and feel safe with being present? Can you let your body feel safe to BE versus DO?
In this episode of Unblock Your Money Sh!t Podcast, Erin Call shares the importance of being the present and how you can create space for ease, flow and the embodiment of your purpose and the knowing of your pleasure.
Erin is the the creator of the Soul Naked movement and the Embodied Woman Retreats who is passionate in guiding women leaders back into their bodies where they inhabit the divine wisdom to heal and the potential to Embody their highest expression.

Heather Doran 02:48 - My brain kept saying”Nothing's happening!” but then my heart was saying, “But you're not here to have anything happen. You're just here to be a part of this and to be embodied in the space.” (My reflection on joining the retreat with Erin in April).
Erin Call 04:28 - Can you train yourself to be present and feel safe with being present? Can you let your body feel safe to BE versus DO? And that's such a huge challenge for a lot of people.
Erin Call 05:23 - Our brain like to say, “Oh, my God, I can't sit still, I need to be doing something” and truly, that is a trauma response whether the trauma was little trauma or big trauma.
Erin Call 07:25 - Meditation, in my experience, is like the masculine approach of transcending your thoughts, sitting still and not moving is truly, the feminine.
Heather Doran 08:48 - It's not necessarily when we get quiet, that we're getting the inspiration, it's that we're creating the space to become inspired, it's that we are slowing our system down to allow these more creative places to come out.
#Gold covered in this episode:
So often, we allow other people's opinions to shape who we are and how we show up in the world. We dim our light to make others feel more comfortable. We hold back our true selves out of fear of being judged or rejected. But when we do this, we're not living our best lives. We're not fulfilling our potential. We're not making the impact we're here to make.
It's time to break free and strip ourselves from other people's expectations and start living as your true self. It's time to let your light shine bright. But what does it mean to be our "true selves"? And how can we get to a place where we are living and expressing the truest version of ourselves?
In this episode of Unblock Your Money Sh!t Podcast, Erin Call shares how to dive into your internal world and do deep healing work that creates space for ease, flow and the embodiment of your purpose and the knowing of your pleasure.
Erin is the the creator of the Soul Naked movement and the Embodied Womban Retreats who is passionate in guiding women leaders back into their bodies where they inhabit the divine wisdom to heal and the potential to Embody their highest expression.
Ask yourself: are you living your truth? Are you shining your light for the world to see? If not, what's holding you back? It's time to let go of your fears and step into your power. It's time to BE YOU.

Erin Call 03:27 - What I find is over and over and over again, when we think of leadership and how we are leading our missions, or our businesses, or our visions, or whatever you identify your life's work, it really all comes back to self intimacy and self embodiment. How are you leading yourself? Truly, in my experience with myself, and my clients, it is all one.
Heather Doran 05:50 - We can only support people and really lead them to the next thing as far as we can see. That's why it's so important that we're constantly leaning in to our own questioning of: What do I want? What am I doing here? What is the bigger vision? What is the bigger purpose?
Erin Call 07:07 - A part of self intimacy is knowing yourself so deeply, but also trusting so deeply that like, you don't need to know each and every step necessarily. By knowing yourself enough to know what you desire and how you desire to feel.
Erin Call 12:37 - Continue to show up and do what you know to do, knowing all along, it was always going to work out in your favor.
Heather Doran 16:33 - One of the biggest things to understand as society, and especially as women, when we come together, we have been taught so deeply to judge each other, and to constantly be in this place of judgment and comparison.
Erin Call 27:16 - One of the biggest challenges of meeting yourself, as a leader is to understand I have to unconditionally welcome and say “yes” to the parts of me that feel really sticky or shameful or edgy.

Becky Brunner 04:24 - I have been working on team culture since day one. I did it quite naturally, not even realizing that I was bringing community, bringing people together and connecting, communicating and collaborating with everyone.
Heather Doran 09:00 - In the past, people went to work at a blue collar job where they worked on an assembly line and then they went home. But now people are really doing things that they're passionate about, which is entering a whole new dynamic into the work culture.
Becky Brunner 10:28 - People really want to be able to grow in the business that they work with. They want to be trusted that the work they do is right and that they're not being micromanaged at all times. That they're recognized for the work they do. They want to be appreciated when they do a job well done.
Heather Doran 19:51 - If you're a small business owner, these are the things that we're talking about as being a leader. Even though you're building a business and you think, "sh*t I don't have a lot of money" these are the things that create community and create connection within your team.
Becky Brunner 29:04 - We all yearn to have connection in some sort or fashion. No matter if we're extroverts or introverts, we all need that connection space. People don't want to be lonely. After the pandemic, I think people have really learned and realized that they need some sort of connection in their daily life.
Heather Doran 34:17 - It's key to create a dialogue of connection from the beginning with employees. Then they can take that out into their workspace. I think this creates a ripple effect among team members.
Becky Brunner 45:12 - The team connection subscription is a very low price at $27 a month. You receive daily prompts to ask fun questions to your team, graphics, appreciation ideas, team engagement ideas of things that you can talk about at the beginning of your team meetings, and also a private Facebook group where I do live trainings. There's so much value all in one spot. I'm also working on a template with team members information all in one space, so that you would be able to easily copy and paste that template every time that you had a new team member.

If you're feeling lost in the weeds of business, you're not alone. Many business owners feel overwhelmed by the day-to-day tasks of running their business. However, there are some steps you can take to get clarity and balance in your business.
It is said that clarity and balance are two of the most important aspects of achieving success. Clarity refers to having a clear goal or vision, while balance refers to maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Both of these things are essential for scaling through life and achieving our goals. Without clarity, it can be difficult to stay focused and motivated. We may start off with good intentions, but without a clear destination in mind, we can quickly become sidetracked. Balance is just as important. If we work too hard and neglect our personal lives, we will quickly become burnt out. On the other hand, if we focus too much on our personal lives and neglect our careers, we may find ourselves struggling to make ends meet. Finding a healthy balance between work and life is essential for scaling through life successfully.
Joining us this week is Business Consultant & Strategist and Certified Positive Psychology Coach Cory Zacker. Heather Doran 04:43 - That's the thing about being stuck in fear. We don't make these investments or we don't really see the value in spending money. I find that this also trickles over to a personal issue and all of that then translates back over to our business.
Cory Zacker 06:57 - A lot of us women have an “I can do everything” kind of mindset. And feel “I'm a little less than” if I don't do everything. I can manage my family, I can walk the dog, I can run my business, I can you know, all those things.
Cory Zacker 08:56 - You invest some money in getting help, whether it's for yourself with a coach, join a mastermind, you hire a virtual assistant or a project manager. That gives you the freedom to really do what you do best and grow your business. Then you end up making more money.
Heather Doran 10:36 - When we're in the stress state, a part of our brain shuts down. It's only focusing on survival. This is literally happening when we are doing our daily tasks and working with our clients. We miss all these opportunities, because our mind is in a stressful state. After I got out of the burnout, I reflected on things I could have done things so much easier, but my brain wouldn't allow me to see it because it was only thinking about the next task. This is that piece of investing that is not talked about enough. The investment not only four our business but also for our mental clarity.
Cory Zacker 32:48 - I am a mom, although he is grown up now. But I learned that as a mom, that you have to take time for you. But when I started my business, I seemed to forget that lesson.
Cory Zacker 38:08 - In positive psychology, we talk a lot about negativity bias. It's what all of us as humans do, we go to the negative, we just dive right in.

01:55 - Heather’s journey from corporate to entrepreneur.
10:17 - The importance of mental clarity in business.
