It has come to my attention that the girls are giving themselves praise for not having “black hair.” To this we say “I’m sorry, who? What was the topic?” We black women have GOT to stop being an easy target for trigger baiting. I know who I am! Why are we being moved by these repetitive and quite frankly, unoriginal self loathing comments by people who hold no space in our lives? Can we please move on from this boring narrative, I beg of you. The assignment was definitely not being understood here, so I’ve given another lesson because I’m just so charitable.
