Body Grooming... Welcome to Season 2 Episode 8, the final episode of the season!

Let's be real about body hair, right? Humans are animals, animals have hair.  It's natural and healthy. But our bodies are also like material that can be molded, meaning we can totally change HOW our hair looks. Considering that grooming can often be accompanied by pain - why do we do this?? For some folks it is about perceptions of what beauty is. For some it is about perceptions about hygiene.  For some it could be a combination, or a perception about what is "cool" or "socially acceptable" regardless of their personal feelings. 

Mojo, Pixie and Cherry are back to create safe space to chat about all things body hair related. We get candid about why we feel the need to do or not do certain types of grooming: waxing, threading, shaving, trimming. We get into all the happy hairy crevices too: eyebrows, upper lips, beards, underarms, genitals, arms, legs, you name it! So fun to reminisce about how us humans get started on this journey of grooming, and what drives our likes and dislikes, and how that interplays with other humans who have opinions one way or the other.

Do You Have A Type?... Welcome to Season 2 Episode 7!

We've all been this person, right? Picture the scene. You are out with friends where someone will point to a stranger and say, "whoa, that person's hot!" Or good looking. Or sexy. Or cute. Or well-groomed. Or muscular. Or voluptuous.... At that point, another friend might go, "Nope, that's not doing anything for me."  We've been there. These experiences start to come together and we realise, oh wait, I have a type!  In this episode, the Unbuttoned India trio dive right in to this question of what type of factors make humans attractive to us!

Join us to hear about our many different "needs". ;-) There are specific physical features that we discuss that may surprise you.  There are behavioural needs that are sometimes just as or more important in getting us to say AWWWWYEAH. We explore the idea of preference, and wonder about prejudice, and things in between.

Exploring My Sexuality... Welcome to Season 2 Episode 6!

When did you know you were sexually attracted to a human? Perhaps a particular set of humans? Some realise they are attracted to the opposite sex, some to the same sex, some to all, and some to none at all! The Unbuttoned India trio of Mojo, Pixie and Cherry revisit their oldest memories and ongoing experiences to piece together a story of how each became aware of their sexuality. We make pit stops at all-girls convent schools, love letters, best friend crushes, 90s indian movies, porn tales....and other anecdotes that made us laugh and sigh. 

Swapping tales helps remind us that every single human goes through a similar journey of doubt, exploration and exhilaration! Join us in a quest to question the origins of romantic fantasies and deeply ingrained social conditioning about what is "normal." 

This episode's Did-You-Know section gets into some of the terms and descriptive labels used in the episode, with quick introductions by Cherry on Asexuality, Pixie on Bisexuality and Mojo on Pansexuality.

Body Image... Welcome to Season 2 Episode 5!

This week Pixie, Mojo and Cherry pay a visit to our physical bodies.  We talk about experiences in our childhood and current life that have (literally and figuratively) shaped our bodies. Who and what has had a say in how we perceive ourselves? What shifts and transformations have we undergone over time?

Hitch a ride with us as we visit classic body image hot-spots like store changing rooms, weddings, schools, gyms, movies....our own internal minds. We arrive at Memory Lane that is lined with anecdotes about complexion, skin, body shape, body size, smells, and in sharing openly we find understanding in each other about the under confidence, the anger, the shame, the reflections and the liberation.
