Cassi Chandler has led a distinguished career as an innovative strategist and investigator, identifying and addressing intelligence, financial crimes, cyber and fraud risks, along with regulatory and reputational risks in the federal government and the banking industry. She is currently President & CEO of Vigeo Alliance, which partners with businesses to grow emerging leaders, retain diverse talent and build an inclusive culture that thrives. Cassi also serves as an independent federal monitor with the NYPD and she is an Adjunct Professor for Intelligence and Terrorism courses at Pace University’s Masters in Public Safety and Homeland Security Graduate Program. She is a  member of the Board of Trustees at Loyola University New Orleans and an instructor at the Pacific Coast Banking School.  

Previously, Cassi was Senior Vice President for Business Operations at  Bank of America, where she was responsible for building an integrated framework to identify, evaluate and assess emerging regulatory risks and the operational effectiveness of enterprise coverage areas. She developed enterprise-wide teams and analytic processes to identify cybercrimes, fraud trends and consumer risks. She also served on the Global Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board. Before joining the bank, Cassi spent 23 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where she directed white collar crimes, financial crimes, terrorism, cybercrimes investigations and foreign intelligence activities. She led the FBI’s training division, redesigned the Bureau’s health care fraud and its criminal and domestic terrorism intelligence programs, and was appointed to the U.S. Senior Executive Service as the agency’s first black female Special Agent Assistant Director and the Bureau’s first female National Spokesperson and director of Public Affairs. She retired as Special Agent in Charge of the Norfolk, Virginia FBI Field Office.  

Cassi has received awards such as the Senior Executive Service Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive under President George  W. Bush, the National Center for Women & Policing’s “Breaking the Glass Ceiling” award and the Norfolk NAACP Trailblazer Award. She served on the U.S. Marine Corps Red Team, which monitored the Corps’ assessment of expanding infantry officer roles to women and has served on many charitable and diversity boards. Cassi earned her BA from Louisiana State University and her JD from Loyola University School of Law. She is a member of the League of Women Voters, Rotary Club International, and serves on the Board of the LSU Alumni Association.

And to show  reverence to these talented, purpose-driven producers by telling their  stories authentically and introducing them to an audience that is  thirsty to learn. As a former creative director in the NY fashion  industry, Sara created Vin Social drawing from a decade of experience in  both the wine and fashion industries. Sara’s approach to curation  combines storytelling with seasonal trend-spotting and a values-driven  lens to create sensory experiences designed to bring the wine lifestyle  and the human stories behind the bottles to life. 

This week, we caught up with Jessica Nemmers, Chief Security Officer of Elevate Credit. Prior to her role as CSO in the financial industry, Jessica built a comprehensive security program for a Fortune 500 manufacturing company, focused on the protection of critical systems on business and  Operational Technology (OT) networks at more than 230 sites worldwide. With over 24 years in the IT industry, Jessica has led IT teams in the US, India, Romania, and Mexico and held both technical and non-technical positions, which has allowed her to leverage her unique ability to translate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.

Jessica has been recognized as a an honoree of the 2020 Dallas Business Journal’s Women in Technology Awards, included in D Magazine’s “500 Most Influential Business Leaders in Dallas/Ft. Worth,” and is a co-author of “The CISO Mentor.” Jessica is an active member of the cybersecurity community in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and continues to champion causes to address  the cyber security talent shortage and to promote opportunities for women in cyber security careers.

Prashant Nema, the Global CIO of Arch Capital Group, is an accomplished  and highly effective technology strategist and digital transformation  agent. He is dedicated to creating agile, responsive IT infrastructure  to help businesses become more efficient, intuitive, and profitable. Prashant is especially well-versed in the financial services sector,  banking, and insurance, where he has devoted the past 15 years of his career.  

Possessing a strong engineering background, Prashant has previously held  positions at BP, Xoriant, and Oracle in areas including product  engineering and service and software provider roles. He was also the CTO  and CIO at Silicon Valley Bank.

Trevan Ross is the Chief Human Resources and Administrative officer at  Community Health Choice. Trevan’s career experience includes HR  leadership roles in a variety of industries across the healthcare  spectrum, including hospitals, managed care, and biotechnology.  Prior to joining Community Health Choice, Trevan was the Vice-President,  Human Resources at Superior HealthPlan (a division of Centene  Corporation).  While at Superior, Trevan oversaw the growth of the  workforce by over 1000%, supporting the company’s business expansion  from two service lines to eight, including establishing a physical  presence in previously-unserved geographic regions as well as supporting  a number of mergers and acquisitions.  Trevan led the HR team in the  development and implementation of leadership development & talent  assessment program, improved talent acquisition, increased retention,  and led HR organizational change initiatives resulting in improved  service and greater customer satisfaction.  Before transitioning into managed care at Superior HealthPlan, Trevan  was an HR manager at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.  While at M.D.  Anderson, he supported a broad spectrum of operational and research  departments at the Institute, most notably directly supporting the Chief  Operations Officer and all clinic outpatient operations.  In this role,  Trevan was heavily involved in the strategic planning and execution of  HR support for seven remote/satellite locations, as well as several  collaborative and co-branded initiatives including Banner Health of  Arizona.  Trevan holds both a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)  certification and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)  certification.

Today we caught up with Shani Shoham, a creative CRO/COO with vast  hands-on experience in building high-performance sales, marketing and  operations teams.  Successfully scaled a Lightspeed venture backed company from 5 customers  and 6 employees to over 100 customers, 40 employees, 1600 leads/month  while leading 2 rounds of funding and 4x YoY ARR growth.

Mike Fisher is an advanced television strategist with over ten years  experience in business development, product and ad-sales marketing,  client solutions, and research analysis.  With a deep understanding of  the advanced media landscape, emerging technologies, and traditional  television, Mike is continually defining innovative and insightful ways  to leverage Advanced TV solutions to fit the needs of clients and  partners, while keeping brand messaging top-of-mind and relevant to the  viewer.

Eric Shepherd is the Co-Founder of Talent Transformation, a  member-driven organization promoting best practices via conferences,  webinars, podcasts, articles, white papers, research, and conversations.  He is an accomplished leader of international businesses and  associations focused on talent, assessments, and success.
