Lorenzo developed his 23-year career within the financial industry in New York, London, and Madrid working for both institutional clients and Global Family Offices in equity and derivatives transactions.
After his early years at Barclays/BZW and McKinsey&Co, he moved to Goldman Sachs, first as a trader and then as a salesperson in New York and London. Lorenzo was responsible for and spearheaded some of the most relevant transactions in Southern Europe during this time, first as a market maker and then as a sales captain in many IPOs. He co-started and developed the underwriting business in this region among institutional clients.
In 2012, Lorenzo moved to UBS in Madrid. He worked for and structured the portfolios of the high-yielding clients of the bank. He played a fundamental role in structuring and finding the best possible buyer on the sale of his clients’ industrial assets.
In recent years, he has led the efforts in the structuring and financing of some of the best performing local Private Equity funds.
Currently, Lorenzo is managing partner at WIF Capital, an investment platform specializing in greenfield infrastructure with a particular focus on water & sanitation (“WASH”), as well as sustainability and health (waste, mini-hydros, and hospitals), in small to medium-sized projects.
Lorenzo holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master’s in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
