A sitting congressman, a 17-year-old girl, and a dating app used to recruit young women for drugs, cash, and sex across state lines: that’s what a new federal lawsuit now alleges against Matt Gaetz, the man Donald Trump once wanted running the Justice Department.
I read the complaint and the House Ethics report that backs much of it, and in this video I’ll show you exactly what they say happened behind closed doors, who paid for it, and why Washington is hoping you never hear about it.

This midterm election decides more than who holds a gavel, and in this episode Jill and Jim walk you through exactly what changes on January 3, 2027 if you show up.
They break down ten concrete shifts that land in your life: a vote on your health insurance costs, the power to take back the war power, an auditor for ICE, due process that stops being optional, soldiers off your streets, a return to science, Congress getting its checkbook back, a docket number for self dealing, relief at your grocery bill, and leadership that sets a calmer temperature. They explain each one the way Mitch would to a jury, with the facts, the stakes, and the specific tool a House majority controls, from the subpoena to the appropriations pen.
We also cross examine Mitch’s own case and give you the limits, because the honest argument holds up better than the inflated one. You walk away knowing that three House seats and four Senate seats decide the distance between the Congress you have and the one you want, and that four people brought to the polls is a real number. Check your registration today, write down your deadline, make your plan, and use your voice, because Article I only runs when you do.

One man has spent three hundred sixty-six million dollars to shape this year’s midterms. One hundred fifty-eight million to a single Senate super PAC in one summer, more than the Democrats’ rival fund raised from every donor it had. Seventy-six million to his own turnout machine knocking on six and a half million doors. And that is only the money we can see, because millions more flow through groups that never name their donors.
After promising in May to spend less, Musk is back dining with Trump, and the investment logic is simple. Investors always come to collect, in contracts, in investigations dropped, in favors banked.
In this episode, Jim and Jill follow the money the way Mitch Jackson would in a courtroom: the filing numbers, the Paxton connection, the one hundred forty-nine million dollar ad blitz, the Citizens United machine that made it all legal, and the two-move fix that ends the auction.
No both-sides fog, no despair, just the playbook: daylight on every dollar, a hard cap on mega-donor spending, and a constitutional amendment that kills Citizens United for good.

A father pulled into a parking spot with his five year old in the back seat. Masked men with guns and no badges surrounded his car. He did what any parent would do. They fired seven rounds into his vehicle and put a bullet in his neck. They were federal agents. Since Trump returned to office, immigration agents have opened fire in at least thirty shootings, killed at least nine people, four of them American citizens, and wounded thirteen more. This is not law enforcement. This is what a government looks like when it turns on its own people.
In this episode, Jim and Jill break down the Marble Hill shooting fact by fact, the pattern of masked raids from Los Angeles to Chicago, why the mask is the whole point, what the First Amendment says about filming these agents, and the fix that fits on an index card: visible face, name and badge on the chest, period. No hysteria, no inflated charges, just forty years of courtroom experience applied to the most dangerous policing story in America right now, and the one election that can stop it.

Three weeks after signing the law that locked Russia's sanctions into place, the President let Putin sell diesel to America anyway. No forty-five days of notice. No written certification. No vote in Congress. Just a phone call, a Treasury permission slip with no price cap, and four point eight million tons of fuel flowing to the country bombing Ukrainian apartment buildings. Senator Schiff said we went from sanctioning Russian oil to buying it in three weeks. Senator Blumenthal called it a stain on our nation's character. Zelensky called it an obvious weakness. They are all right.
In this episode, Jim and Jill cross-examine the deal the way Mitch Jackson would in a courtroom: the timeline, the backstory of Russia's broken refineries, the three locks Congress built into law, the Supreme Court rule from nineteen fifty-two that says paperwork never outranks a statute, why this is not treason even though it is terrible policy, and the one phone call you need to make before October eighteenth. No spin, no inflated charges, just what the law actually says and the exact move that puts pressure where it belongs.

Trump banned CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House because he can’t handle their questions, and every American got locked out right along with the reporters. I’ve tried cases for 40 years and litigated First Amendment fights, so I’ll say plainly what most commentators won’t: this ban is unconstitutional, and the court will rule that way. Full stop.
The First Amendment bars the government from abridging freedom of the press, which means no president gets to hand-pick who you hear from. Fear of a question is a confession in slow motion.
In this video I walk you through the insults he throws at reporters and the Supreme Court losses behind them, which together show exactly why he wants these newsrooms gone. I also break down the lawsuit those outlets just filed and the expedited hearing they want so a judge rules fast.
Look, when all is said and done, every locked door at the White House is a question you never get answered. The Constitution protects you without asking his permission. Watch it to the end, send it to the one person you know who still thinks this is normal, and tell me in the comments which question you want answered first. I’m reading every one.

Late Friday night
Today the President of the United States banned CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House because he did not like their coverage. He put it in writing and promised more outlets are next. I have practiced law for four decades, and I am telling you without any hesitation whatsoever that this is retaliation for speech, the exact thing the First Amendment was written to stop.
No court found a single story false. A man with a grudge decided who gets to stand in the room and watch him work. That is not a legal standard. That is a casting call.
Presidents come and go. The First Amendment outlasts every one of them only if you refuse to let it be taken.

Saturday morning thoughts
“Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.”
Thomas Jefferson wrote that to Edward Carrington on January 16, 1787, years before he ever held the presidency, which is exactly why it lands as principle instead of grievance. He understood the bargain before he had anything to lose by it. A leader who can pick which reporters watch him answers to nobody.
This morning MS NOW journalists were turned away at the door. That is what Moscow does. That is what Pyongyang does. The government decides who holds the notebook, and the public gets handed a version instead of the truth. The White House is not his house. We pay for it. Those reporters stand in that room on our behalf, and he threw them out because they embarrassed him.
Now look at the Republicans asking for your vote in these midterms and count how many of them have said a word. I am not going to tell you the count is zero, because I cannot verify a silence that complete. I will tell you this. Every single one of them should be asked, on camera, before a ballot is cast, whether a president may throw out reporters he dislikes. A yes tells you they will sell the First Amendment for a seat. A shrug tells you the same thing with worse manners.
One more Saturday update. My avatar Jill and I dug into the law, the cases, and the facts until we had a real answer.
Here’s the thing. I’m out of the office today, and that does not mean you wait. I asked Jill to walk you through exactly what we found.
Hit play and let her take it from here. You are going to walk away knowing more about what’s going to happen next than most people in Washington.

Seven justices told the guy in the Oval Office no on his mail ballot order. Two told him yes. One of those two flew the American flag upside down outside his house eleven days after the January 6th riot. The other has taken an estimated $3 million in gifts from a wealthy donors while sitting on the Supreme Court.
I’ve tried cases for 40 years and any judge who did either of those things would have been off the bench before lunch. Trump’s lawyers keep filing cases built on claims that have already failed in court, and compromised judges keep rewarding them with votes. As an American, I refuse to accept that, and you shouldn’t either.
In this video I walk you through what the Court actually ruled, why the fraud story behind the order collapsed every time someone checked, why Alito and Thomas are biased and compromised, and the two-step playbook you can use the next time somebody tells you your vote doesn’t count. Your ballot, your money, your Court. Watch to the end, then share this with one person who needs to hear it and tell me in the comments what you think.

Your lawyer switched sides two years ago, and you have been paying the bill ever since. Congress is supposed to be your lawyer, and after 40 years as a trial lawyer I show you in this video exactly where it stopped working for you.
Democrats need a net gain of three House seats and four Senate seats on November 3, and the new majority takes office January 3 with subpoena power and control over every federal spending bill. I walk you through 10 positive changes that land on your kitchen table, including your premiums, your local ER, the war with Iran, troops in American cities, your grocery bill, and more.
In the last midterm, more than half of eligible Americans stayed home. We can’t afford to let that happen in November.
