2) Read Daniel 1:1-7. Early on in Daniels's life, we see that unexpected and drastic changes come into his life. Has there ever been a time that this has happened to you? What was that time of life like?

3) In Daniel 1:8, we see Daniel take a stand for his faith by refusing to eat the King's food. How can small acts of obedience (or disobedience) affect our faith?

4) In the book of Daniel, we see that the Babylonians do all they can to change the identity of Daniel and his friends. Have you ever felt that Satan is using your past, your failures, your present circumstances, or anything else to tempt you to forget that your identity is in Christ? What does it mean to have your identity in Christ?

5) How can followers of Christ live in such a way to gain credibility and influence with those who do not share their faith? How can they lose credibility?

6) How does it feel to know that the same God who saved Daniel from the lion's den is wanting and willing to be there for you in your times of uncertainty? How can this make a practical difference in your day-to-day?
