If you’re not mindful of who and what influence your thinking, then you’ll soon lose the desire for godly things. Left unchecked, you’ll even grow accustomed to living by what your flesh desires. Those works of the flesh are a snare to your walk with the Lord.

In the Garden of Eden, Satan tempted Adam and Eve to want what God said they couldn’t have. As a result, sin entered into the world. Satan still loves to tempt us with our wants. As a matter of fact, he’s become an expert at it.

Our words can be a hazardous snare if we’re not selective in how and when we use them. King David also knew the value of choosing his words carefully, which is why he prayed, “Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips” (Psalm 141:3).

Difficulties are just a fact of life because we live in a corrupt, evil, and fallen world. But many times we find ourselves in a difficult situation because we’ve walked right into one of the enemy’s snares.
