Stephen reminds the Jewish leaders that the temple building that they hold so dear is merely a copy of the real one in heaven, and that God does not dwell in a building nor in the temple rituals. Stephen directly accuses them of being just as disobedient as their forefathers. The Jewish leaders get so angry that they refuse to listen any longer and stone Stephen to death.  

• What does it mean to be uncircumcised in heart?
• Are Christians today guilty of going through the motions rather than truly worshipping God?
• Do people today resist the Holy Spirit?
