In this gentle story, Uncle Wiggily Longears decides to rake up old autumn leaves around his bungalow for spring cleaning, creating piles for the rabbit children, Sammie and Susie, to play in. When the children disappear and he hears cries of distress, he mistakenly fears they're buried under the leaves, but soon discovers the voice belongs to Jimmie Wibblewobble, a duck boy distraught because the wind blew away the feathers he was taking to Mother Goose. Uncle Wiggily resourcefully suggests Jimmie fill his bag with the soft, raked leaves instead, solving Jimmie's problem, pleasing Mother Goose, and getting his yard tidied all at once.
