Uncle Wiggily and his friends enjoy a picnic in the woods when a sudden rainstorm spoils the food of a group of "real" children nearby. Unable to reveal themselves, Uncle Wiggily devises a plan: agile animal children climb trees near the other picnic site and lower baskets of their unspoiled food to the unsuspecting children. The children attribute the unexpected bounty to fairies, and both groups enjoy a happy picnic.
