  • From Teen Addict To Uncommon Freedom, Part 1 of 3

    Send us Fan Mail

In this series of interviews, I have a conversation with my amazing friend Elisa Medina who is an incredible wife, mother, and impact maker. Elisa shares how the tragic and sudden death of her mother drove her to a life of drug & alcohol abuse and wild living in her teens. She fled to the northeast corner of the country to live with a family member who supported her wild living and even encouraged Elisa to get an abortion when she was confronted with an unplanned pregnancy. Elisa shares how there are no accidental parents as God used this unplanned pregnancy to pull her out of her wild life and get on a path to Uncommon Freedom®.

Her father’s support and encouragement gave her the courage to keep her baby and move back to Tucson, AZ. After becoming a single mother, Elisa began working at Hands of Hope, a resource center for women facing the challenges of an unplanned or even unwanted pregnancy. She eventually became the CEO and served in that capacity until she stepped down in 2020 to be more present in her home. Elisa and her husband Fernando are currently focused on helping people thrive in their mind, body, and finances through their organization Medinas on Mission.

About Elisa: Elisa Medina is the Co-Founder of Medinas on Mission along with her husband Fernando. She is a certified Health and Wellness Coach and has a passion to see people thrive in all areas of their health...body, mind, and finances. Together they have 4 children and 3 grandchildren and reside in Tucson Arizona.

Elisa spent 16 years serving in Pro-life Ministry. Most recently she held the CEO position at Hands of Hope located in Tucson Arizona until stepping down in 2020 to be more present in the home.

She is a gifted communicator, speaker, and mentor. She is often sought out to speak about pro-life issues, leadership, marriage and parenting, and healing from trauma. Her personal life experiences compel her to be vulnerable in order to connect authentically with her audience. Her ultimate life-long pursuit is to live and love like Jesus.

  • An Intense Evacuation Through The Eyes of An 11 Year Old

    Send us Fan Mail

On Sunday, Jun 26, 2022, our family was in the middle of a “routine” church service when a commotion in the aisle led to a rapid evacuation by the majority of people sitting in our section. Because of the national tension created by the recent US Supreme Court decision regarding Roe. vs. Wade and threats from left-wing extremist groups like Jane’s Revenge (Jane’s Collective), people were on high alert and probably overreacted. It was my first time being in a chaotic situation like this with my family so it was a unique experience for me as well. Dylan share’s his perspective on the commotion, the fear induced by the evacuation, and then what he felt as he watched his father rush back into the chaos to help investigate and potentially neutralize the threat if any.

About Dylan: Dylan is 11 years old and getting ready to enter 6th grade in August. He loves playing basketball, football and being the older brother to his adopted sister, who is an answer to his childhood prayers. You’ll hear Dylan’s mature understanding of the world combined with what’s left of his juvenile innocence in this evil, chaotic culture we live in.

Michael happens to be my brother and one of my best friends and although he’s more than 5 years younger than me he’s been teaching me about life, people, business, and social media for years since he was a teenager. Michael essentially dropped out of being homeschooled when he was in high school to learn a trade. Michael shares the secrets that have helped him on his journey to Uncommon Freedom ®, breaking virtually every stereotype about homeschooled kids along the way. After listening to this interview you’ll want to save yourself thousands of dollars by skipping the college indoctrination for yourself and/or your kids.

  • The Most Important Ingredient for a Life of Uncommon Freedom®

    Send us Fan Mail

Okay, so grit might not be THE most important ingredient for Uncommon Freedom®, but it sure is at the top. The power of passion and perseverance is essential if you are going to live a great life and reach your potential.

One of my favorite examples of grit from the Bible comes from the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt in the Biblical book of Exodus. Moses’ grit in the face of obstacle after obstacle from a hostile foreign leader not only helped his people escape slavery and make their way to the promised land, but it changed the course of history. This story is a great reminder that pursuing the promised land and God’s will for our life will bring many challenges with it but the reward is worth the fight.

I also address the natural temptation to fall back into the “bondage” of security when life is tough. How will YOU change the course of history with your grit?

  • The Ultimate Freedom

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, I talk about what I believe is the Ultimate Freedom, the one without which no other freedom matters. In the aftermath of the Roe V. Wade SCOTUS leak and the chaos left in the wake of that lack of integrity and accountability in our political system, the most important thing to address is what is abortion and when does life begin? Science has answered the second question, so logic answers the first question. Previously the biggest arguments for abortion are conceptions due to rape, incest, and cases where the mother’s life is in danger. But we have devolved into a society where the extreme left claims they enjoyed their abortion so much that they got pregnant again so they could have another abortion. The similarities between abortion and the other historical atrocities through the course of history (the Holocaust and slavery in America and the rest of the world) are clear and convincing if you are intellectually honest.
