Who is Gabe Kroll? Gabe Kroll is a member of RBR's class of 2020, he is the school record holder in the 400m dash, and a Group 3 Indoor champion that placed 7th in the state at the Meet of Champions. Currently, Gabe is studying tat THE Ohio State University in hopes to get into dental school, and he is my guest tonight! It was so fun getting to catch up with Gabe tonight reminisce about his being on the team, setting the school record, having a great freshman Global Studies class together, and seeing how grown up he is! I'm super proud of Gabe and all the work he's put in, and I can't wait to see where he is heading in this world!
If you are interested in being interviewed for the podcast, or you know another MUTFXC or RBRXCTF alum that is interested, please reach out to me and let me know! We want to try to do everything we can to inspire the current and future generations of Buccaneers to the best of our ability!
Joel Rivera is an RBRXCTF alumnus from the class of 2016, and graduated from TCNJ with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Joel joined the XC team as a freshman after running one season of cross country team for his hometown of Union Beach. On this weeks episode, I interview Joel about his path to becoming a lifelong runner, and his advice for the current team! Big thanks to Joel for taking the time to catch up!
Andrew McDowell graduated from RBR in 2021 after transferring ahead of his sophomore year. On this episode of "Unconquerable," we discuss Andrew's history with running, his career at RBR and at his current school (Susquehanna University- go River Hawks!), and how Andrew looks at success, training, and school. Big thanks to Andrew for sitting down with me on Google Meet tonight, and best of luck heading into the school year!!
Today we had a very special episode- our second round of alumni chats! This time I was joined by RBRXCTF alums Chris Wong, Cameron MacIver, Kyle Neary, Joel Rivera, Tyler Schwinn, and Christian Luca. I am incredibly proud of what each and every one of these young men have accomplished both in their time as Bucs and since then as well! It has been an honor to be a small part of their journey to prosperity, and an even bigger honor to sit down and chat with them for over an hour.

How do you prepare for sleep? Are you sleeping enough? Are you allowing your body to rest so you can achieve maximum cognitive and physical performance? Tonight, I discuss sleep hygiene and how I round my day out before I go to sleep. That old phrase about "beauty rest"? It's true, but there's SOOOOO much more to sleep than that! Tune and and find out a little more about setting yourself up for success!!
Warning: This may go down as one of my favorite conversations of all time! In what will hopefully be the first round of a number of alumni group calls, we discuss favorite memories from the team, the ups and downs of the life of a student-athlete, how to manage difficult situations, and our young alumni give our current student-athletes their words of advice! This 90 minute conversation was truly amazing, and I am so excited to have been able to catch up with these 9 young, strong, unconquerable souls!

I m not a doctor and I am not pretending to be one here on the internet, but I have created a supplementation protocol that has seemed to work for me as an N=1 experiment. These vitamins and supplements seems to work for me and my microbiome but that does not mean they are necessarily right for you. Please consult a medical professional before starting any type of supplementation routine.
This discussion of my supplementation is merely food (or maybe I should say, supplements?) for thought. As I mention in the episode, this seems to work for me as a 34 year old teacher, coach, and runner, but this will not be the routine that I will follow for the rest of my days- I will need to update this as I age and my body requires different things to continue to improve not only my health, but also my longevity.
Have something you think I should try out? Leave a comment and let me know- I'm always open to trying new ways of leveling up and reaching peak performance!
