Hello Music Friends!
Welcome to another episode of Uncool Music Conversations with Andy and Art — two DJs who spend far too much time thinking (and overthinking) about music, and loving every minute of it. We’re so glad you’re here with us, and we truly appreciate your time and curiosity.
In this sixth episode of Season Two, we’re thrilled to feature a very special guest: Dayton-based musician Steve Makofka. Steve is a longtime accordionist, composer, and all-around musical storyteller whose work blends folk, Americana, jazz, polka, rock and roll, and more in ways that defy easy categorization. Known throughout the Miami Valley and beyond for his vibrant performances and deep musical knowledge, Steve brings decades of experience — and a deep love for the accordion — to this rich conversation.
Our theme this week is, fittingly, "Different Paths to Music." Steve’s musical journey is anything but conventional, and his thoughtful insights into how he found his voice — and his instrument — provide a compelling reminder that there is no one “right” way to make music.
So listen and enjoy the ride as we explore Steve Makofka’s unique path through the wide and wonderful world of sound. You can find Steve's music on Apple Music at https://music.apple.com/us/album/bring-the-kids/1223203115.
If you have any comments or suggestions for us at Uncool Music Conversations, please email us at [email protected]
Thank you for listening! Remember: 'Music Chooses You!'
