Kimié Miner is a Grammy-nominated producer, singer-songwriter, and recording artist. She is also the President and CEO of HAKU COLLECTIVE, a full-service, multi-media talent production and management group. She has written and co-produced five-award-winning albums including the Grammy-nominated album, “Hawaiian Lullaby.”

In this episode, Kimie talks about her journey as an artist, that spans over two decades. The challenges, lessons, finding her own unique voice and transitioning to becoming a busy mama of three! Shar Tuiasoa (aka Punky Aloha) is a freelance illustrator based in Kailua, Oahu. Her iconic "tita bun" and Polynesian beauties can be found EVERYWHERE and has collaborated with Apple, Facebook, Disney, Pixar, AT&T, Sephora, Benefit Cosmetics, and The New York Times as well as locally with Honolulu Magazine, Hawaii Magazine, and Hawaii Business Magazine, Honolulu Museum of Art, and Foodland.  

After studying Fine Art at her local community college for 6 years, Shar moved to California to earn her BFA in Illustration.  She moved back to Hawaii shortly after and started Punky Aloha Studio in the summer of 2018.   

In this episode, we talk about how things didn't quite go as planned. Why moving home wasn't her first choice and how ultimately, her challenges became a critical part of her story. We hope you enjoy this episode!
