“Jesus, help!”

I found myself saying this a few weeks ago as my husband and I sat praying together before bed.

I had a hip replacement operation in April, and it was a hard road to recovery for me.

On this particular day, everything seemed to be so, so heavy. I was in a lot of pain, I was tired, I was feeling weak and there was a heavy cloud of despair over me that I couldn’t seem to move.

My normally positive and strong personality felt like she had gone away - and I had literally nothing left to give.

As we sat and looked at each other, all I could do was say, “Jesus, help”. With tears streaming down my face, I curled up and went to sleep.

Then something happened during the night.

All I know is that I woke up and the cloud of despair that had felt so heavy the night before – was GONE. I don’t know how He did it, I just know that He heard me and He took the cloud away!
