Underachievement Caused By The Wrong Definition of Success

Listen Later

“We fail the minute we let someone else define success for us.”

― Brené Brown, Dare to Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts.

Underachievement can be impacted by allowing others to define SUCCESS and FAILURE for you.

I invite you to consider these questions:

  • How do you define ACHIEVEMENT?
  • How do you define CREATING RESULTS?
  • How do you define SUCCESS?
  • How do you define FAILURE?
  • Which results do you really want to create?
  • If no one noticed what you did or did not create, what would you create simply because the thought of doing it makes you giddy?
  • When you are trying to “prove” something to someone, what are you really trying to prove?
  • Who are you trying to “prove” to?
