1. Warm up: What was your first job, and what impression did it make on you?

2. Read Proverbs 14:23, Proverbs 13:4, Proverbs 12:24, Ecclesiastes 5:19, Ecclesiastes 5:12 and discuss;

what are some of the values of work, according to the scriptures? How does this reflect your Heavenly Father’s

goodness?

3. Read Ephesians 6:5-6 and discuss; why is it difficult for us to serve our bosses sincerely? What adjustments can

we make so that we would serve our boss more sincerely? Why does our attitude toward our boss or colleagues

even matter?

4. Read Ephesians 5:7-8 and discuss; how could it help to see the Lord as your ‘undercover boss’?

5. What would it look like for you to work with enthusiasm? What advice would you give to a new Christian who

wanted to allow their faith to impact their work?

6. Read Genesis 41:33-41 and discuss; how does a person’s quality of work reflect the power of the Holy Spirit?

Who do you know whose work life so well evidences the power of the Holy Spirit in them?

7. Read Ephesians 5:9 and discuss; What is God’s expectation for a boss or employer toward workers? If you have

any degree of or experience with being a boss or leader at any level, how have you embraced the challenge of these

words?
