 The Honorable Minister and I met at the International Seminar on “Advances in Design, Construction and Operation of Tunnels” April 2023, Dehradun, India. The conference explored creating harmonious connections beneath the youngest and most challenging mountains on earth - the mighty Himalayas. 

A top female engineer finds herself out of work and stuck at home after the politics in her country ban women and girls from participating in technical education or professional work. Here Barika provides a glympse into her world - and asks for a job so she can get her meaningful professional life back to support herself and her family.
