Cici grew up thinking that she is the stereotypical toxic Latina and comes to realize that it is all a lie she tells herself to avoid facing the truths of her childhood experiences.
Why are we Latinas so proud of being "Toxic"? Instead of just thinking, "that is who I am" we should ask ourselves, "Why am I this way and how can I fix it"?

Rico tells his story of his struggle with depression.
It's always been a hard subject to talk about for me but I've decided to air it all out in public. How depression developed over the years and how I cope with it. It's a constant fight every day. I talk about how I've learned to accept it and not let it consume me on a day to day basis even with it lingering around.

The importance of setting boundaries is not a subject many of us touch on and we think it's time to bring it up. Whether it's time/energy, physical, mental, or emotional, boundaries helps us keep the energy vampires away. Now...where did I put my garlic?

How far does motivation get you? We've all been there before, "Come New Years, I'm going to start going to the gym!" Or our personal favorite "I'm going to start a business...when I have enough money/time." We get so motivated but then after a while, it all fades and we quit. Trust me, we do this all the time! And unfortunately, our kids pick up on it. So, what do you do when you want to get rid of old habits and create new ones? Because motivation doesn't do it anymore.

We've all thought it...heck, most of us have said it out loud. But really ask yourself this. Would you really? Or would you still be making the same "I don't have time/money" excuse? We talk about our journey so far on this challenge we took on called 75HARD by Andy Frisella and what we have come to realize; We all have more time than we think...even as working parents.

"Race doesn't matter" or "I don't see color" is total B.S.!The struggles we come face to face with identity and lack of representation are all too often not brought up. It's time to get loud and talk about it.

As parents, we always tell ourselves "I just want what's best for my child. I just want them to be happy". But our version of happiness may not be our childrens version of happiness. So, how do we guide them without feeling like we're intruding on what truly makes them happy?
