Allan chats with Kailha, the mother of a 3 kids, traveled with her family from New Brunswick to St. Johns Newfoundland.  Her 5 year old boy lives on the FASD spectrum.   

Travelling with an FASD youth can be challenging at times, but Kailha explains how she took it all in stride and shares some of her strategies with us and shows that, will a few accommodations, a great trip can be had by all!

Reinier deSmit has lived with being on the FASD spectrum for 65 years, as of this recording. For about 56 of those years he did not know he was on this spectrum - and that lack of knowledge made his life VERY challenging.  

Ironically, perhaps, his diagnosis helped to set him free from many negative thoughts about himself and his worth in the world.  And his 'hidden disorder' helped him appreciate and understand better those that DO have an FASD diagnosis. 

This conversation covers just some of the insights that Reinier has uncovered in the last decade or so of living 'consciously' on the FASD spectrum.
