May is here and that means one thing.... Mental Health Awareness Month!! Comedians joke about it, preachers pray about it, and therapists talk about it... but what exactly is mental illness. Marty and Josh lay the foundation for this month's episodes by clarifying what is the correct view of mental illness and what mental health looks like. People are quick to self-diagnosis but this tries to paint a clear picture of what a clinical diagnosis incorporates so that we can filter through what is normal and what needs attention. Marty and Josh seem to take different perspectives of the terminology behind mental illness that can actually be beneficial when both views are blended together.
