In today’s two part show, we spend the first half hour with Professor Caroline Fredrickson to understand how the filibuster was created and how it has came to be the contentious practice it is today.
Professor Caroline Fredrickson is a Visiting Professor at Georgetown Law and a Senior Fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice. She is the author Under The Bus: How Working Women Are Being Run Over, The Democracy Fix: How to Win the Fight for Fair Rules, Fair Courts, and Fair Elections, and , The AOC Way.
Then we talk with Dane County election official Rachel Rodriguez. With the elections less than 4 weeks away, Rachel joins us to talk about preparing for the midterms and how results get certified by the county.
