In this episode, Dan and Lauren hear from Dr. Barry Boyd, Associate Professor of Agricultural Leadership Education and Communication at Texas A&M University, and Dr. Amy Forbes, Director of Strategic Custom Live Programs at Cornell University. They led the writing team for Priority #3 of the National Leadership Education Research Agenda: "Understanding the Leadership Learner".
During the conversation, Barry and Forbes explain how the priority filled a gap in the literature calling for an increase in socially just and critically oriented perspectives in leadership education. He highlighted how working together, respectfully and professionally, as a writing team produced a clear and detailed call for future research. The priority calls for rigorous and uplifting research and for researchers to engage in either evolution or revolution.
