For most #organisations providing an #engaging and #user-centric digital #experience isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s fundamental. And #understanding how to make that a #successful experience that is aligned to #business goals is what a Digital Product Owner - or #DPO - is for.
A Digital Product Owner (DPO) is the person who #oversees any company’s #digital experience. They work to streamline #internal processes, manage the #tools required to complete these #processes, and ensure that #users have a #consistent and seamless #experience.
Digital Product Owners ease processes across #teams and act as the conduit for #information between each team member. #Interacting with the people (internally and externally) means that DPOs are comfortable speaking to #engineers, #marketers or product teams.
To create a clear sense of the #work required they usually follow the #Scrum / #Agile Method which helps in following what #actions are completed, and the #work that still needs to be done; each of which is tied to a specific #objective defined for the #project and a #team.
The #missions of the Product Owner are both #operational and #strategic. Operationally, the DPO works on the #design and #testing of new #features to improve the product. This monitoring involves drawing up a #schedule, using a #backlog (an ordered list of tasks to be carried out in the development of a product) and meeting #deadlines for #deliverables.
To have a deeper understanding of this role, Digitalcity.brussels interviewed Ornella Maureemootoo - DPO in the #banking industry. Listen to our #Podcast #episode where wetackle the following points:
