Here when we talk about the root and stump, we are to proceed as tender branches coming out of this root -Jesus- our beginnings are small and tender as His was. All that He endured in a way will come upon us to overcome, be shaped and formed in His image and likeness. We are to abide in Him, being fruitful in every good word as the Husbandman prunes us.
