Understanding The Word

The introduction to Genesis presented by C H O F Ministry is a brief poetic

performance video that summarizes the book's central concept and how it is

fulfilled in Jesus. He is the one who reconciles all of our wrongs via his

death, burial, and resurrection.

Matthew 9:20-22 (AMP)

20 Then a woman who had suffered from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the [tassel] the fringe of His outer robe;

21 for she had been saying to herself, "If I only touch His outer robe, I will be healed."

22 But Jesus turning and seeing her said, "Take courage, daughter; your [personal trust and confident] faith [in Me] has made you well." And at once the woman was [completely] healed.

Jesus was respected and praised as a teacher, healer, and for performing miracles. He was put to death on the cross. And then placed in a borrowed tomb. There is very little recorded about what went on when Jesus was placed inside the tomb.

Before God raised Him from the dead on the third day, there was activity inside the burial place.

Black History is filled with brilliant, unique, inspiring, and innovative people. During slavery, learning to love your neighbor was not an easy task, and many times it came with hidden connotations and policies. This morning Bishop Houston will introduce to us an African American writer who wrote about loving your neighbor as a girl born and raised in slavery.

While salvation begins intimately with each person, it cannot end in a discriminatory ego-centered commitment. Bishop Houston will teach us that a sincere personal connection with God must stream through loyalty and faith in Jesus Christ.

Placing Our Faith in something we've done for God means we have confidence other than Christ. Bishop Houston will teach that salvation is entirely by grace through faith and earned by good deeds.

There are many people that attend church weekly but don’t have a comprehensive relationship with God. Where we spend eternity depends on our bond with God.

Many contemporary Churches and Ministries

connect themselves with the Name of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. But many are just going through the motions. Their spiritual loyalty isn’t genuine.
