In this week's episode of (Un)doing Geography, I sit down with Angela, a fellow student at Goldsmiths, University of London and a placement student at Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford. In today's show we discuss the research project, Angela, is carrying out at the Pitt Rivers Museum in response to the removal of 120 objects from their display including tsantsa or shrunken heads in June 2020. We also discuss systems of power, living in a pluriverse and challenging dominant narratives and ideologies. Our recommendation this week is the Pitt Rivers Museum webinar on 'Matters of Care: Museum Futures in Times of Planetary Precarity'. I'd like to thank the Pitt Rivers Museum for agreeing to share their latest research project on Decolonisation, further projects include Labelling Matters and Maasai Living Cultures.
