Ben and Doug strap in for Suburban Commando, Hulk Hogan’s big-screen “redemption” after the wonderfully bad No Holds Barred—and with the recent loss of the Hulkster, it feels like the right time to revisit a role that is out of this world (quite literally).

The question hanging over the film: will this finally make Hogan a star? Earthling-hating Shep Ramsey crash-lands in suburbia and faces off against child-voiced bounty hunters, a villain who could pass as your next-door neighbor, skateboards, sentient car alarms, and whatever else the suburbs throw his way.

Ben and Doug dig into the bizarre blend of sci-fi (if you can call it that) and slapstick, the jokes that actually land, and whether this movie proved that Hogan belonged on the silver screen—or if he was better off staying in the squared circle.
